Probably the most popular tours for visitors to Krabi are to the local islands and to the famous Phi Phi islands.

The geography of Krabi is punctuated by majestic limestone cliffs, not only inland but out to sea as well.

Many of these islands are ringed by sandy beaches and beneath the water, coral reefs.

Perfect destinations for relaxing on the beaches or snorkelling the reefs to view the colourful fish.

You have a choice of transport, the leisurely traditional longtail boat or the excitement of a powerful speedboat.

Phi Phi Island Tour

A full day tour by speed boat to the Phi Phi islands for sightseeing, including the much admired Maya Bay, once graced by Leonardo DiCaprio and the rest of the crew as the setting for the film "The Beach".

There are two Phi Phi islands. Koh Phi Phi Don and Koh Phi Phi Ley. Koh Phi Phi Don is where the locals live and where you'll find the hotels and restaurants.
Koh Phi Phi Ley is protected in the Marine National Park there's no habitation on this island but you'll be able to enjoy the beaches and and reefs in the warm calm water.
The islands are spectacular as the vertical cliff faces rise straight out of the sea. Erosion has created caves, sheltered bays and 'hidden' coves.

There's a great deal of folklore and cultural heritage linked to these islands.

The classic island get-a-way

Krabi Somjai can also get you to a classic island get-a-way. A private island developed with protecting the environment in mind from the start.

This is an all inclusive package, transfers by road and boat, accommodation, food and snorkelling equipment and kayak use.

Once on the island you really can do nothing except enjoy the beach, your accomodation is a beautifully appointed 2 room tent on the sand. Go to sleep to the sound of the sea.

If you have some energy you can go kayaking (no additional charge), fishing, SCUBA diving or rock climbing. Instructors and equipment are available for a small additional charge.
